Day 3 - June 1st - Mission to Hope - 79 km - (T=158 km)

Aujourd'hui nous sommes parti sur la route à 8h AM. Nous avons roulé, incluant les arrêts, pendant un peu plus que 6 heures et avons fait 79 km et sommes arrivé à Hope.  Quelle belle ville!! Très touristique, très propre avec une vue des montagnes de tout côtés. Un endroit où on aimerait revenir plus tard.

À 9:30h ce matin (13:30h au NB), nous avons fait un arrêt, pour être présent en pensée., avec la famille de Marthe. C'est à ce moment que le corps de sa mère, qui est décédée le 31 janvier, fut mis en terre.

Nous avons trouvé un petit restaurant pour diner, à Agassiz, qui se trouvait à peu près a moitié chemin. Il était seulement 11h mais l'appétit était déjà au rendez-vous. Ce soir, comme il y a de la pluie de prévue, nous avons trouvé un autre hôtel. On s'est aussi gâté au restaurant pour souper.

En chemin nous avons rencontré nos premiers cyclistes de randonnée. Deux frères, Connor et Cole, de Winnipeg, font le tour du Canada, pour ramasser des fonds  et pour sensibiliser les gens que 10% de la population n'ont pas accès à de l'eau potable. This morning we were on the road at 8 h AM. Including the stops we were on the go for a little over 6 hours and covered 79 km. We stopped in Hope. What a beautiful city!! Very touristic, very clean and with a vue of the mountains in all directions. A place where we would like to come back to, some day.

At 9:30h this morning, (13:30h in NB), we stopped, to be present, by thoughts, with Marthe's family. It is at that time that the body of her mother, who died January 31st, was buried.

We found a little restaurant for lunch in Agassiz, which was about half way. It was only 11h but our appetite was already calling. Tonight, as there is rain in the forecast, we opted for a hotel again. We also spoiled ourself with a restaurant meal for supper.

On the road we met our first touring cyclists, Connor and Cole, from Winnipeg. The two brothers are doing a cross-Canada tour to promote and collet money for the awareness that 10% of the population don't have access to clean water. We can view their web site and donate at: TheWaterCycleProject.com
