C'était une autre journée chaude, alors on n'a pas pris de long break avant d'avoir fait 100 km. Nous sommes arrêté à un Tim Horton pour un petit sandwich. Il ne nous restait que 20 km pour arriver au camping. Nous sommes arrivé au KOA camping de Saint Francois Xavier (15 km à l'ouest de Winnipeg) vers 1:30h PM. Ceci nous a donné bien du temps pour faire sécher la tente et même faire du lavage. C'est une station d'essence qui est en charge du camping et ils ont aussi un petit restaurant...donc pas de cuisine ce soir.
Maintenant nous devons faire une décision. Kevin va se diriger vers l'est et l'Ontario demain. Nous allons aller vers le sud et Minnesota. Nous allons faire le tour des Grands Lacs, mais du côté américain. La route de Thunder Bay à Sault Ste Marie est très dangereuse, c'est une autoroute qui a beaucoup de traffic et pas d'accotement. Marthe dit qu'elle voudrait louer une voiture pour faire ce trajet, si on passe par là. Nous connaissons des gens à Duluth, Minnesota, qui sont venus chez nous à travers Warm Showers, et ils nous ont invités à rester chez eux pour deux soirs, une fois à leur chalet à Marcelle et une autre fois à leur résidence à Duluth. Nous avons bien hâte de les revoir et nous allons certainement prendre cette route. Ce sera plus sécuritaire et Marthe le fera en vélo.
Ce soir il ne devrait pas y avoir de pluie et ce dernier camping avec Kevin sera plus relaxant. Demain nous aimerions nous rendre à Steinbach, qui n'est qu'à 90 km et prendre un hôtel pour avoir du temps et un bon internet pour planifier notre route des prochains jours.

Another rainy night in a tent, and better, this time we got thunderstorm, until 9h PM. We got up at 5h and packed up the wet tent (we are getting good with this) and we were on the road by 6:30h. We had the nice lady at the little cantine up early because we had asked her the night before for an early breakfast...and it was excellent.
It was another very hot day so we did not good breaks until we reached 100 km. We stopped at a Tim Horton and ate a small sandwich. We only had 20 km more to make it to the campground. We arrived at the KOA campground in Saint Francois Xavier (15 km from Winnipeg), at 1:30h PM. Early enough to get the tent out and let it dry. We even did a laundry. It is a gas station that is operating the campground, and they even have a small restaurant. At least we will not have to cook tonight.
This is where we have to make a decision. Kevin will be heading east to Ontario tomorrow. We will be heading south towards Minnesota. We will be going around the Great Lakes, but on the american side. Thunder Bay to Sault Ste Marie is a very dangerous highway with no shoulders. Marthe has been saying that she would rent a car to do this part if we would go that way. We have some people we know in Duluth, Minnesota, that we met thru Warm Showers and they have already invited us for two nights, one at their camp near Marcelle and one in their home in Duluth. We look forward to meet them and we are definitely going that way. The route is a lot safer and Marthe will be riding her bike.
Tonight there should not be any rain, and camping for the last time with Kevin should be more relaxing. Tomorrow we hope to make it to Steinbach and since it is only about 90 km away, we will be taking a hotel so to have a good internet and be planning our route for the next few days.
