Day 62 - July 30 - Lyster to Montmagny - 121 km (T=5518 km)

 Nous voulions faire 120 km pour nous rendre à Montmagny et la météo indiquait de la pluie plus tard en après-midi; alors nous sommes parti du chalet à 5:30h ce matin.  Nous avons commencé par faire les derniers 7 km du Parc Linéaire des Bois Francs, pour ensuite embarquer sur le Parc Linéaire de Lotbinière.  Une autre très belle piste de vélo, mais avec beaucoup d'asphalte. Une vraie trans-canadienne pour le vélo.

Rendu à Lévis, nous sommes passé sur un pont oscillant pour traverser la Rivière Chaudière, et y avons vu des chutes d'eau.  Après avoir passé deux jours de parc linéaires (plat et droit), nous avons trouvé tout un change sur le terrain, qui avait maintenant plusieurs montées et descentes dont certaines assez demandantes.  Ensuite il y avait un autre 14 km de superbes pistes de vélo pour passer à travers de Lévis. Nous en avons profité pour un petit lunch à un beau café.

Après 72 km, nous avons débuté la route 132, qui devrait nous emporter jusqu'à Campbellton. Nous commençons à sentir le N-B.  C'est un peu difficile à croire, mais nous serons chez nous dans pas trop longtemps.

Nous sommes arrivé à l'hotel à 13:45h et vers 14:30h il a commencé à pleuvoir un petit peu. Encore une belle journée.  Sommes-nous chanceux ou prévoyons-nous correctement??

We wanted to ride 120 km to get to Montmagny and the weather forecast was calling for chances of rain later in the afternoon; so we left the cottage at 5:30h this morning.  We started by riding the last 7 km of Parc Linéaire des Bois Francs, to then get to Parc Linéaire de Lotbiniére.  Another very good bike trail, but this one has a lot more paved areas. It is like a trans-Canada for bicycles.

From there we were in Lévis, where we went on a swinging bridge to cross Chaudière River, and from where we saw some water falls.  After two days on linear parcs (flat and straight), we found quite a change in the land since there was now many hills and descents and a few challenging ones.  We then rode on another 14 km of very nice bike trails to go through the city of Lévis.  We found a little café, where we had a small lunch.

After 72 km, we started on road 132, which should bring us all the way to Campbellton.  We are starting to feel NB. It is a little hard to believe, but we will be home shortly.

We got to the hotel at 13:45h and around 14:30h it started to rain lightly.  So another great day again. Some people might say we are lucky, but we think that we are planning correctly!!
